Run Logan Run
Run Logan Run are a head on collision of pounding tribal drums and screaming
guttural saxophone. Architects of intense contrast the duo’s diverse and precise
instrumentation regularly flirts with fragility and raw power. Formed through a
shared passion for improvisation, spiritual jazz and heavier experimental music,
they are Andrew Neil Hayes (Saxophones/FX) and Dan Johnson (Drum
Kit/Percussion), and have been authoring their own narrative in the new wave
of crossover jazz, whilst touring the UK extensively, sharing stages with the likes
of Colin Stetson, Melt Yourself Down, Shabaka Hutchings, Sarathy Korwar and
“A raw, aggressive, and unrelentingly creative sound.” – Clash Music.
“Somewhere between @MeltYrselfDown and @YussefKamaal, this is brilliant.” –
Fresh On The Net.
“These chaps are the new generation of a heralded lineage of trained musicians
forging their own unique style, akin to Polar Bear or Sons of Kemet who have
gone on to critical acclaim.” – The Comet Is Coming.
“The two-man Run Logan Run is so perfectly in sync that it’s like listening to
twins born into jazz.” – Jazz Author.
Il Santo Bevitore
A mixture of ritualistic percussion, blackened tribal, raw techno and power
electronics, Il Santo Bevitore is the moniker of Sardinian drummer and
percussionist, Nicola Serra. His most recent works feature sound and healing
therapist and shamanic practitioner, Lani Rocillo, on vocals. Together they
investigate the relationship between percussion and shamanism using repetition
as a key to hypnotise and trance the listener.
Minus Pilots is percussionist Matt Pittori and bassist Adam Barringer. Together
they weave sparse textures, crumbling atmospheres and fractured drones with
currents of gentle crackle. Minus Pilots have performed in Amsterdam, Berlin,
Brussels, Dublin, London, Milan and Paris.
“Album of the week. 10/10” – Norman Records.
“From free jazz to spare percussion, with a whole lot more in between.” –
“Minus Pilots have proved their ability to captivate.” – Collective-zine.
“The soundtracking of a peaceful, distracted or meditative gaze into space.” –
“Fragile complexity, forever at the border of falling apart, at the mercy of a single
disruptive semblance. And yet, for as long as you close your eyes, the illusion is
perfect.” – Tokafi.
“The music feels like an intimate conversation conducted with the listener, and
consequently one is pulled into the material’s spidery web.” – Textura.
“The distorted backward masked communications that brings melodies to new
scapes with 3-D living cubes! Loved it. 5/5.” – EARLabs.
“Moody, mellow and very pleasing on the ear. 4/5.” – Musique Machine.
