Hans-Karsten Raecke is a most extraordinary musician and instrument inventor.
He creates instruments from rubber, wood, metal and other materials and combines instruments to create new kinds of sound experiences.
Some of his performances involve fire and smoke, in others he plays large new instruments that he has built combining the principles of the harp, percussion, wind instruments and Far Eastern instruments.
In his IKLECTIK concert he will be joined by Lawrence Casserley (computer musician and sound processing) and Alan Tomlinson with his own anarchic brand of spontaneous trombone explosions!
There will also be performances by Jane Zahn – a fabulous German cabaret singer who will be accompanied by Hans-Karsten on keyboards and Rasmus Raecke performing some of Hans-Karsten’s written compositions for violin.
