HYPERSTASIS

Hyperstasis is the nom de plume of Ilia Rogatchevski, a multimedia artist living and working in London. The handle is borrowed from Simon Reynolds’s definition of the problematic state that popular culture finds itself in the 21st century: overwhelmed with countless technological advances, yet fixated on nostalgic reminiscences of the past. Rogatchevski’s performance will explore the granular textures inherent in metallic surface noise. Photo by Raquel Diniz.
