Wednesday 29 March – Doors 8pm – Music 8.30pm

Electric guitar player N.O. Moore is more interested in the ‘electric’ bit than the ‘guitar’ bit, developing an approach that combines more traditional techniques with sounds and emotions drawn from the pioneers of electronic music and musique concrète.  In the past, complimentary things have been said about his playing by Jeff Clyne, Daevid Allen, Gilad Atzmon, and Eddie Prévost.  Most disconcerting, once in Wysing, Marshall Allen directed Moore to play a solo during which, and standing just a few feet from Moore, he stared continuously and unblinkingly into Moore’s eyes.  No explanation for this technique was forthcoming, but the guitarist decided to consider it as a positive.  Moore has received no formal musical training, but nevertheless gets by.

This grouping with legendary percussionist and drummer Eddie Prévost, and the powerfully innovative and resourceful bassist Guillaume Viltard, will be appreciated by all who love new sounds and high energy improvised music.
