Solo performance by Richard Sanderson-amplified melodeon.

This ensemble combines written horn lines with electronics, amplified objects and spoken word, our past concerts have included dedications to women electronic pioneers including Delia Derbyshire and Daphne Oram. This ensemble is formed to suit the compositions and features guest musicians. This performance will be using texts,scores and improvisations for a new piece-‘English Country Gardens’.

Sue Lynch

Tenor saxophone, clarinet, flute.
Sue Lynch currently runs ‘The Horse Improvised Music Club’ with Adam Bohman,Hutch Demouilpied and Adrian Northover. www.horseimprovclub.wordpress.com/.
Has performed with Adam Bohman, Eddie Prevost, Hutch Demouilpied, Richard Sanderson, Steve Noble, Crystabel Riley,Caroline Kraabel and Sharon Gal.

Sue Lynch is organiser and arranger for Hogcallin’ a Mingus tribute ensemble. She hasrecently performed as part of Tarek Atoui’s ‘Reverse Collection’ at The Tate Modern.She is performing with the Psychedelic Afro Beat Sudanese band ‘The Scorpios’.Sue Lynch iscurrently one of the featured musicians with Blanca Regina’s Unpredictable Series-‘Conversations With Improvisers. In 2016 she formed, ‘Paradise Yard’-an electro accoustic ensemble, performing at Iklectik, Cafe Oto and The ICA. In 2018,she performed at 3 Klange Tag Festival, Switzerland with Hildegard Kleeb, at Womad BBC Stage and Guess Who Festival-Urecht, with The Scorpios. She has recently recorded and performed with ‘Dial’,aquartet featuring, Sue Lynch, Dawid Frydyk,John Edwards and Dave Fowler.

Hutch Demouilpied (trumpet/Flute)

Hutch is a composer, sound designer and musician who is based in the UK. She composed the soundtrack to the British feature film The Levelling by director Hope Dickson
Leach and recently scored the Radio 4 Unmade movie: ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ featuring Glenda Jackson. Her podcast ‘Improvisor’ is available on iTunes and features conversationsand music. As an accomplished musician she plays trumpet and has her own albums released and is working on forming Ensemble Demouilpied.

Performing solo, and on-going collaborations with Steve Beresford, David Toop, Steve Noble, Alex Ward, John Edwards, Phil Minton & Feral Singers, Andie Brown, Yoni Silver, Lina Lapelyte and Anat Ben David.

Mimi Kobayashi

Mimi Kobayashi -piano, composer.Has played with Depeche Mode, Swing Out Sisters, toured with The Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra,wrote theme tune to Japanese animation series ‘Urusei Yastura’. In 2013 played with Kikanju Baku/Likanju Baku and Roscoe Mitchell.

Adam Bohman ( Text/Amplified Objects)

Performance at ‘Rattling Cages’ with Ilhan Volkov at the Proms, Royal Albert Hall 17th August. Performance with Christian Marclay Tate Modern. The Full of Noises Festival in Barrow in Furness commissioned a new performance in July 2013. Artist film-maker Helen Petts commissioned me to compose original music for her Kurt Schwitters related film “Throw Them Up and Let Them Sing”. Performance at Tate Britain as part of the Schwitters in Britain ‘Late at the Tate’ at which I performed my composition ‘Anna Blume’ in a duo with Steve Beresford.

Richard Sanderson is an improvising musician who plays the melodeon (diatonic button accordion), he has recorded with Browne/Thompson/Sanderson, Ticklish, Minnow, Solaris, the Horse Trio, in duos with Steve Beresford and Mark Spybey and three solo albums. Live he performs solo regularly as well as in collaborative improvisations. He runs the Linear Obsessional label and promotes live music under the same name.
