Målbrott consists of clarinetist Andreas Røysum and cellist Joel Ring. Røysum draws upon a diverse background, with studies of jazz, improvisation, indian classical music and norwegian folk music. He´s touring with his bands Miman, Increase and Fenne, and has done a wide range of collaborations with people like Damo Suzuki, Rhys Chatham, Axel Dörner and Jasper Stadhouders. Ring has recently toured extensively with his group Wendra Hill. As a duo their work is firmly rooted in both contemporary classical music and free jazz, and deals with timbre and physicality as well as mictronal melodicism. The duo will release their debut record in fall 2017.

Yves Charuest ( alto sax).

Charuest was a member of the Peter Kowald Trio (1985–1990) with German bassist Peter Kowald
and South-African drummer Louis Moholo, with whom he worked extensively in Europe and in the
USA. Charuest also played with John Betsch, Mathias Schubert, William Parker, Agustí Fernández,
Nate Wooley, Georg Graewe, Roscoe Mitchell and Lê Quan Ninh. Charuest presented solo concerts in
Quebec and Europe, and collaborated with electroacoustic composers Jean-François Denis, jef
chippewa and Jean Piché.
