An evening with Blood Music and friends. Old-fashioned knees-up. Like a social club. BM plays ‘For the Vagus Nerve’, a new work for the parasympathetic nervous system, designed to rest and digest. Impossible music. Expect mayhem and/or relaxation from these assembled oddballs who have released on: FLUF, dingn/dents, Diagonal Records, The Tapeworm, SM-LL, Conditional Records, Superpang, Fancyyyyy, Portals Editions, We Can Elude Control. Gluten-free Guinness cake.
Blood Music (playing ‘For the Vagus Nerve’)
BLOOD MUSIC is Simon Pomery: London-based sonic artist & poet. Founded 2009, “Blood Music”, trans. Kodo, meaning “mind-before-thought”, “children of the drum”, “music heard in the womb”, “blood music”. Work released on Diagonal (two 12”s, ’Blood Music E.P.’ and ‘Chicks/Badgering’), The Wormhole (‘GPS Poetics’), & dingn\dents (‘Taiko Serge Poem’). Album and published book of infinity poems, “FOUR PINTS OF GUINNESS FOR TONY CONRAD” FLUF (2019). Finished his PhD this year: “Sonic Poetics: Sound, Listening and Polyphony in the Work of M. NourbeSe Philip and Sean Bonney”. Curator of PRAXIS. It’s his birthday. 10 years young.
Roberto Crippa is a Sound Artist, Composer and Improvisor based in London, whose work includes live electronic music and installations investigating the responses of physical bodies to architectural acoustics. His music combines realtime performance on custom analogue oscillators and effect pedals with acoustic sound sources such as zithers, bells and percussion instruments.
S McEvoy is an artist working with and through sound. With an intuitive practice rooted in play and improvisation, they investigate sound and its relationship with bodies through sculpture, installation and composition. They make techno under the name tuuun, and other sound under any number of other aliases. In 2016 they established the label and publisher FLUF, which is a platform for sharp sound in many formats. They lead the Laboratory of Sound at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art.
Guy Birkin is a generative artist and writer living in Nottingham, UK. His work is based on analytical research into the aesthetics of musical and visual complexity. Music released on Entr’acte, Fluf, New York Haunted, SUPERPANG and Tokinogake.

Lucia H Chung is a Taiwanese artist based in London, United Kingdom. She performs and releases music under the alias ‘en creux’ where the sound creation springs from her fascinations in noise generated via feedback on digital and analogue equipment, and her role as a ‘mediator-performer’ in the multifaceted relationship between the sonic events incurring within the self-regulated system.
Tom Mudd enjoys making music with computers. Recent work revolves around physical models: digital synthesis processes based on physical simulations of acoustic objects and instruments. Brass Cultures (Fancyyyyy) uses massed brass synthesis: digital models of physically improbable brass instruments being played by algorithms. Guitar Cultures is due to be released in 2022. Previous work released on the Entr’acte label explored similar territory with his own synthesis processes. He currently lectures in sound and music at Edinburgh College of Art.
“Sound system powered by AMOENUS. AMOENUS is an art organisation that facilitates, educated, curates and promotes immersive art centred around 3D sound”.
