Alex Bonney, Panos Ghikas and Nick Roth will present PALNIK, a limited cassette release featuring duos of freely improvised saxophone, trumpet, violin, analogue electronics and digital stuff. Rocío Bolaños will perform the London premiere of ‘Classic Escalation of Commitment’ by Panos Ghikas, a real-time composition for bass clarinet and fixed audio. A derivative of the Unrealtime project, the work utilises techniques of real-time audio collage in the form of a video-score for controlled improvisation. HI are an Anglo/French-German free improvisation duo comprised of Claire Hope and Berit Immig. Berit and Claire have played together for almost 20 years as members of unpopular pop band The Chap and have always made funny noises backstage, during soundchecks and in the band van. Their debut as HI will see them using a menagerie of small sound sources, voices and a Chinese zither.

Alex Bonney is a trumpeter, electronic musician and recording/mix engineer. Nick Roth is a saxophonist, composer, producer and runs Diatribe Records. Panos Ghikas is a composer, improviser, band member (The Chap) and runs Migro Records.
