On radio, she shows her knowledge with shows like “Melanin” on Worldwide FM and “Dystopia” on Refuge Worldwide, as well as doing guest shows/mixes on BBC Radio Leeds, SubtleFM, Rinse FM, Narr Radio, Jazz FM, Crate Digs and many more. As an artist/producer, NikNak is the first Black Turntablist to win an Oram Award in 2020 and regularly pushes boundaries on what the turntables are capable of. Taking inspiration from various genres and artists, NikNak let’s her ideas flow freely whether beat based or on the more experimental side of things. From embarking on her debut tour in Summer 2022 using an 8 speaker surround-sound array for her 3rd album “Sankofa” , to remixing works by Phillip Glass, and with various releases on labels like Kynant Records, Inventing Waves, Reel Long Overdub, OTONO and more, NikNak continues to prove that no box(es) can cage her wide-reaching ideas and influences.
