The war in Ukraine unleashed by Russia is the most absurd, shameful and unjustifiable act of aggression in the recent history. Thousands of people already have lost their lives, millions have been forced to leave their homes. There is a desperate need for humanitarian aid including food and medicine. While governments are organizing and sending aid through humanitarian channels, there are ordinary people taking the initiative. Some are organizing aid collection points (e.g. the Prosperity Cafe in London), some are buying pickup trucks, filling them with essential products and driving them to Ukraine, and some are going there as volunteers or aid workers. It is important that the society is focused on this crisis until it is resolved. This is why we are organizing this event of experimental electronica and dedicate it to all those people who are helping Ukraine now. All the money that we raise will go to Ukraine Aid.

Coral Sea and Lure of Tropics

Coral Sea uses the underwater sound world as the inspiration for
creating textured and blissed out soundscapes and songs from hydrophones
and synthesised sounds. Lure of Tropics builds rich mantric drones and
harmonies from 12 string acoustic and electric guitar loops into
hypnotic spaces. As an improvising duo they seek out the common ground
between them.

Liz Helman

Liz Helman is a multi-disciplinary artist, working in time-based media. She is London based, self-taught and with no formal training as a composer. In her practice, Liz has always had an interest in ambient music and sound art as a form of expression. Her work, both visual and sonic, is a response to place and environment. Sensitive to how these energies make her feel, she is interested in the subliminal and sonic exploration of these experiences. By walking the streets, and experiencing different levels of sounds, she begins her process with field recordings, making immersive and mesmerising drone based compositions that explore layers of sound and texture. She very much likes working organically, following the thread of the sound to its ultimate destination, which she likes to think of as sonic alchemy.

Solar X

Roman Belavkin aka Solar X emerged from the Russian post-Perestroika underground with his special brand of multi-faceted low-tech electronic music. His first whirls with techno used the simplest analogue keyboards to generate a sound that caught the fancy of both West and East, spurring electronic activity on the home front, and raising foreign interest in the Russian scene. Belavkin himself is a Renaissance man, versed not only in music, but in martial arts and cognitive science. His probes into electronic music share purposes with his scientific queries into structure, chaos, and complexity, and their tie-in to the brain and emotions.
