After 4 months from his previous unforgettable performance at IKLECTIK, Iancu Dumitrescu is back, this time with an unmissable live electronics concert.
The first part of the concert will be a collaboration with the participants of the afternoon workshop who will join Dumitrescu to play an improvised electronic set, followed by Dumitrescu’s unique solo live electronics set.
Iancu Dumitrescu
Iancu Dumitrescu (born 15th July 1944, Sibiu, Romania) is a Romanian composer, conductor, and musicologist. Between the ages of 7 and 22 he pursued conventional musical studies leading to an M.A. in composition at the National Conservatoire in Bucharest and after that period he became interested in electroacoustic music. In 1976, Dumitrescufounded Hyperion Ensemble. In 1990, with his wife Ana-Maria Avram, he formed the record label Edition Modern.
