Both use improvisation as an approach to exploring and seeing the world with fresh eyes and open ears. Lois creates her drawings in response to sound and they serve as scores to be (re)interpreted through sound. Meaning is conveyed beyond words by the clarity and purity of voice. Lois lives in Sheffield and works alongside improvisers including Charlie Collins and Beatrix Ward-Fernandez. Kay lives in London and has played with many musicians, amongst them Alex Ward, Adrian Northover, Marcio Mattos, Jim Dvorak, John Edwards, Ntshuks Bonga, Caroline Kraabel and Hannah Marshall.
