Live arts collective and DIY publisher Colliding Lines celebrate the release of not one but two different tapes, collecting together in one night the orphan albums that never got a live launch during COVID-19. Join us, our artists and friends for an eclectic, collaborative night with first-time performances of sound art, spoken word and radio commissions leaping from tape to stage. Serial collaborator and radio-maker Stephan Barrett teams up with experimental composer / improviser Sylvia Hallett for ‘River . Pathway . Static’, a field-recorded walk threaded with sonic interventions; electroacoustic progress report Cerpintxt; and we welcome visits from our international collaborators Katie Gerardine O’Neill (Dublin, Ireland) and Theresa Elflein (Leipzig, Germany).

Cerpintxt

Cerpintxt is an electroacoustic post-ape progress report from the cosmic madhouse, through the medium of voice, auto-destruction, wind-guided, meekly ritualistic, discordant experiments in protoconversation. Her work is concerned with generating an invented language of a particular strain of softness through phonetic entropy.
