Nodosus is a quintet consisting of John Butcher (saxophones), Angharad Davies (violin), Matt Davis (trumpet), Dominic Lash (double bass), and Dimitra Lazaridou-Chatzigoga (zither). Their music involves a subtle attention to acoustic textures combined with a surprisingly harsh intensity but always with great poise. This event is celebrating the release of their debut CD on Empty Birdcage Records.
