Showcase of works selected via The Engine Room 2023 Open Call, giving the audience the chance to experience the finalists’ live performances and audio and video works on the Amoenus 16.4 immersive sound system at IKLECTIK.

The showcase is part of The Engine Room: International Sound Art Exhibition 2023 happening at Morley Gallery.
The exhibition features the work of 19 finalists from countries around the world, including Italy, Australia, China, South Korea, Finland and the United States, as well as several UK artists. The works on display include sounds sampled from London localities, installations that generate sound through interpreting images, and even some that highlight social and environmental issues. Through a range of sensory experiences, visitors are encouraged by this year’s exhibition to consider the world around them and their place within it.
