Born midwest USA, co-founder of Thinking Plague, engineer for Ice Cube and Englebert Humperdinck, Bob Drake has also remastered classic albums by Henry Cow, Art Bears & Slapp Happy. He now prefers songs about anthropomorphic animals, haunted farmhouses, and inexplicable phenomena. His 9th album “Arx Pilosa” has just been released by ReR/Recommended Records.

All-female -pop multi-instrumental trio from Birmingham. Succumb to irresistibly sweet and honest lyrics, on a pillow of lush three part harmonies that they smother your face with. Also featuring clarinets, squeaky toys and fancy dress.

Guitarist, composer, record label owner and radio broadcaster Kavus Torabi is a man of many bands and guises. Torabi has always pushed against the boundaries of genres others attempt to pigeonhole him in. As well as his own work, Torabi has worked with bands such as Chrome Hoof, Guapo, The Cardiacs and Gong, which he continues to front following the death of Daevid Allen. He DJs with snooker legend and ‘difficult music’ fan Steve Davis, whom he co-presents the ‘Interesting Alternative Show’ on Phoenix FM, and who he made a recent appearance with at electronic music festival, Bloc.

Kamura Obscura is a new performance trio featuring original material, vocal, electronics, viola, no nuclear. Fronted by Atsuko Kamura of Mizutama Shobodan (Polkadot Fire Brigade), Frank Chickens and Kazuko’s Karaoke Klub, Kamura Obscura explores vocal experimentation, composition and improvisation with a strong anti-nuclear political message.
