ASSISTANT PRODUCER

We’re currently seeking an Assistant Producer to join our growing team at IKLECTIK. This is an opportunity to be a core part of our preproduction team, working alongside our curator and marketing manager to help organise, promote and publish events. This is a part time freelance position, with a 3-day a week commitment working in our office in Waterloo, London.

Main duties

  • Assisting the Producer Manager in organising and completing administrative tasks.
  • Liaising with artists, agents and promoters.
  • Preparing venue hire and artist booking agreements.
  • Listings
  • Researching travel routings and accommodation options for artists.
  • Engaging in debrief meetings to help evolve individual events and IKLECTIK as a whole.

Person Specification

  • 2-3 years experience working within a similar administrative role (essential) ideally within a cultural organisation or art institution (desirable)
  • Proficiency with emailing plus liaising and communicating efficiently with third parties in verbal and written English (essential)
  • Independent and proactive approach to work within a fast-paced environment (essential)
  • Understanding of the IKLECTIK programme (desirable)
  • Commitment to the shared values and ethos of IKLECTIK (essential)

BAR STAFF

IKLECTIK is looking for full and part time bar staff to join our growing team here in Waterloo!

We’re seeking an individual with past experience working within a bar, or a similar context, and proficiency making coffee and a small selection of cocktails. A knowledge of the IKLECTIK program, or experimental music, would be greatly beneficial.

Job description: 

Maintaining and cleaning our bar, garden and venue spaces alongside our small team. Tracking and ordering stock. Receiving deliveries. Liaising with customers. Preparing the space for private hires. Must be passionate, independent and driven.

We are open to negotiation in regards to hours.

3 months probation.

BAR MANAGER

We’re looking for an experienced Bar & Venue Manager to join our growing IKLECTIK team.

We’re seeking an individual with ideally a minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing a bar or working within a similar environment. The prospective applicant would oversee the overlapping operations of our outdoor bar area and indoor 100-capacity venue space whilst taking charge supervising and delegating tasks to the bar team. Coffee and cocktail making knowledge is imperative.

Other duties would include maintaining and cleaning our bar, garden and venue spaces, tracking and ordering stock, organising staff rotas and shifts, receiving deliveries, liaising with customers and preparing the space for private hires. A knowledge of the IKLECTIK program, or experimental music, would be greatly beneficial.

We are open to negotiation in regards to hours.

Who We Are

Founded in 2014, IKLECTIK is a nonprofit independent creative space based in Waterloo, London. We focus on experimentation within sound, art, new media, emerging technologies and cross disciplinary works. Our research initiatives and collaborations with academic institutions inform our curation and event selection. Through this, we explore processes and techniques whilst addressing social, political and cultural issues. Our dynamic programme spans sound and music events, workshops, residencies, talks, panel discussions, installation work, film screenings and readings aiming to catalyse education, growth and transformation within our community both in-person and online.
