Hyperstasis | Ken Ikeda – Ilia Rogatchevski

Hyperstasis is a concept coined by cultural theorist Simon Reynolds, which attempts to define the problematic state of popular culture in the 21st century: overwhelmed with countless technological advances, yet fixated on nostalgic reminiscences of the past.

Inspired by this idea, Ken Ikeda and Ilia Rogatchevski explore vertiginous stillness and perpetual motion with their unique takes on improvisation, ambient music and minimalism.
