[m_A.F_h] (aka endeavour@852)
is a pioneer trans-media music group in HK formed by the award-winning experimental
filmmaker / new media artist makin fung bing fai with prominent music /culture / media
landscaper ChiChung Wong and ambient guitarist Chak Chan since 1980’s.
In 1990’s, they released two CD albums (“Ode to the Ghost in Exile/Mind Music One”
& “Eternal Happiless”) under Rock-in/EMI as well as an experimental video collection
under their own label. Their CD releases have been ranked as HK TOP 10 Best Album
of The Year (1990-1991).
Besides, they were commissioned twice by the Hong Kong
Art Festivals for solo performance with prominent both classical Western and Chinese
musicians
and their
scores
are featured in various experimental
films, video and
installations by Hong Kong and German Artists.
Their musical styles range from adaption of
“traditional
Chinese
tunes on
classical
Chinese
instruments against techno-electronic
riffs”
to
“experimental soundscapes
with interactive projections”.
Their recent
project
includes
“First
Year
After”,
a
multimedia performance
(28/9/2015@Musician Area, HK)
dedicated to
the
anniversary of the
“Hong Kong
(Yellow)
Umbrella Revolution”
(2015) and
“ChunGwong / Upskirt”
(2016), a musical
performance
with
interactive projection
inspired by the book of the same name.
For the
“ONE”
UK tour,
[m_A.F_h]
will be joined by
“>>>mediatronic ensemble”,
Mavis N and ian@C.
“>>>mediatronic ensemble”
is an
emerging
electro-soundscaping music
group
formed by three
young
HK girls:
Reve Kan on Violin +
Electro Sound, Chun Yan
on Electric Bass
Treatment and
Shirley Lee
on Percussion
+
Electro
Voices.
They
will perform,
with free improvised passion,
their three pieces from the
‘First Year
After” project while Mavis N, a HK new media artist currently studying in Germany,
will provide, as
video
projection, sequences of
deconstructed
image fragments
from
2015.
“ian@C” is a young Hong Kong rock guitarist who recently found his addiction to use
of loopers and vocoder in his solo project. He will provide a 20 mins warm-Up set for
the concert
