Christina Vantzou

Christina Vantzou is a Brussels based composer of Greek descent whose work deals with time expansion, atmospheres and harmonies through electronics and acoustic instruments. Vantzou’s music has been described as having a viscous emotional core while being transportive, with an emphasis on creating a sense of space and affect. Her work incorporates elements of minimalism, field recordings and light orchestral arrangements that are shaped into a cohesive whole through semi constant metamorphosis.

Kirk Barley

Kirk Barley (aka Church Andrews) is a Yorkshire born composer and sound artist. Under his own name he produces highly textural, organic work, formed from processed studio and field recordings, and influenced by jazz and fourth world musical styles. In contrast as Church Andrews he produces synthetic, often beat focussed music, using digital synthesis and algorithmic composition techniques. For both projects he draws influence from minimalist, techno and hip-hop musical styles, while experimenting with time signature, temporals and tuning systems to create a unique and compelling soundworld. Kirk has performed across the UK, Europe and Canada, And played shows with the likes of Andy Stott, Beatrice Dillon, MF DOOM, Madlib, Jan Jelinek & Pole among others. He has also completed commissioned work for the British Art Show, Camden Arts Centre, MSCTY, and the Open Music Archive.
