Led by Rowland Sutherland and Jackie Walduck, Ethereal World is both a music club night and an ensemble that features a number of brilliant soloists known for their commanding performances in cross-cultural jazz, free improvisation, experimental and contemporary classical music.
Merging together to create something that is at times ethereal, ecstatic, deep, provocative, volatile and transcendental.
In between the moments of free improvisation, the ensemble explores and experiments with a variety of both conventional and unconventional forms of notation and illustrations which strives toward a more expressive form of semi improvised music making.
