Inner Space Music

Loz Speyer – trumpet, flugelhorn – http://www.lozspeyer.com
Chris Biscoe – alto sax, alto clarinet – http://www.chrisbiscoe.co.uk
Rachel Musson – tenor/soprano sax- http://rachelmusson.com
Olie Brice – double bass – https://oliebrice.wordpress.com

A rare combination of highly individual improvisational voices, not to be missed!

Inner Space Music plays jazz with a rare warmth and immediacy, enriched by deep affinities with the likes of Ellington, Mingus and Ornette Coleman… The compositions combine rhythmic changes with subliminal references that synthesize trad, be-bop, straight-ahead and free jazz. The music has a fiercely interactive energy and a deep sense of fun, well cooked up by the band’s recent countrywide tour.

“Serious fun of the first order – highly recommended!” – Mike Butler, Metro
“No one writes music quite like Loz Speyer…” John Fordham, the Guardian
“There was something utterly warm and personal about this gig, and very moving.” – Mike Collins, jazzyblogman
“One of the happiest evenings I’ve heard in jazz for many a long night… Music as rare as this defies description. Go along and see them!” – Karl Dallas, the Morning Star
