London record label and NTS Radio show Kit Records brings together an international group of electronic and experimental artists, with a summer social at IKLECTIK.
We welcome experimental figureheads Vic Bang and Yoto from Buenos Aires, for their debut UK shows. We’ll also be celebrating the launch of Brunnera’s self-titled EP on the night, with a performance from Gordon Bruce and records on sale.
Tunes will be spun between acts by Kit Records DJs, k means (DJ) and The Thames Submarine.
Vic Bang
A staple of the Buenos Aires experimental scene, Vic Bang playfully blends electro-acoustic samples, jittery polyrhythms and shuffling sub-bass in her sonic petri dish. Fans of her releases on Kit and Moon Glyph will keenly anticipate this first UK performance.

Brunnera
Brunnera is the alias of Glasgow artist Gordon Bruce. Gordon’s debut EP of hyper-skewed dance music is out on jointly on Kit Records + NX Records this summer.

Yoto
Following releases on Argentina’s finest out-there labels (AGVA and Aylu’s ABYSS), Buenos Aires artist Yoto, AKA Ignacio Sandoval, brings his bizarre sonic imaginings to south London. Expect surreal samples, gut-twisting textures and hip-shaking rhythms.

Kit Records is an NTS Radio show and record label based in London, run by Richard Greenan since 2011. Richard will be joined on the decks by Matthew of The Thames Submarine – an online space for sound works and ideas.

Never content to sit still in the expected, k means likes to throw you in at the deep end. Having felt their way into dance music as a youth via a formative love of covering video game soundtracks on the piano, they later fell hard for the sci-fi sensuality of footwork, intoxicated by its raw energy, intricate rhythms and visceral physicality. Nowadays the Bristol-based DJ finds themselves ebbing and flowing elegantly between the rush of the club and more experimental spirals, drawn deep into the amphibian ooze of the most lysergic and cacophonous corners of the musical spectrum.
Having honed their skill over countless hours of on-air experimentation for Noods, Netil and Rinse FM, k means has settled on a style spun more from texture and mood than any specific tempo or genre. As a resident at Bristol’s mind-expanding Psychotherapy Sessions, their commitment to the fringes is borne out in an omnivorous appetite for sound, a relentlessly exploratory approach that sees the selector navigating the wildest terrain and loosest vibes while maintaining a laser focus on the dance floor, spinning you out only to snap you back in.
