An evening of live performances exploring contemporary approaches to experimental composition.
Maria W Horn
Maria W Horn is a drone/contemporary music composer hailing from the north of Sweden, based in Stockholm since 2011. Maria W Horn is interested in the manipulation of time and space through sonic extremes – oscillating between minimalist structures and piercing power electronics utilizing both digital and analog synthesis as well as acoustic instruments and audiovisual components. She performed on major experimental festivals like Rewire, MUTEK, Saint Ghetto Bern, CTM Berlin.
Anji Cheung is a musician and sound artist based out of London. Her body of work firmly rooted in the divergent topographies of post-industrial music, draws inspiration from her magical and yogic praxis.
Left Hand Cuts off the Right (Robbie Judkins)
Left Hand Cuts off the Right (Robbie Judkins) is an outlet for exploratory methods and composition. During live performances he plays with bent electronics, acoustic instrumentation, hand percussion, field recordings, loops and effects. The sounds are of otherworldliness, twinkling twitchings, habitual drones, crackling rhythms and oddities directing you, transfixed, through the wonderment.
