Miks is thrilled to invite the enigmatic artist IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (aka Barcode) for a UK debut live show at IKLECTIK. Having amassed a cult following through a slew of self-released singles, the anonymous artist recently teamed up with Ross From Friends’ label Scarlet Tiger for another signature effort. Barcode’s IKLECTIK outing is a rare appearance for the artist, who made waves with his live A/V set at Berlin’s Atonal in 2021. Miks residents Aleksandir and Supu complete the line-up with an ambient set.

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (Barcode)
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII, or Barcode, is an enigma. In an effort to shirk the personality cults that can develop when an audience’s primary tool for engagement with music is social media, the mysterious producer and musician removes their personality entirely from the distribution process of their music. In the absence of any identifiable artist, the listener is left only with the music, evocative and experimental percussive compositions that defy any easy genre definitions or corporate categories.

Aleksandir
Aleksandir is an Istanbul-based DJ and producer. His recent singles ‘Sacro’, ‘Momus’ and ‘String Game’ see Aleksandir celebrating a newly found inspiration and love for the craft. Merging the serene calm and melodies of his previous work and a new taste for more unhinged, techno-leaning production. When he’s not noodling on Logic or nudging the jog wheel, Aleksandir co-pilots the Artesian Sounds label and co-curates the club night Miks in London.

Supu
Supu is a DJ and music programmer born in Istanbul and based in London. He has curated the long-running, experimental jazz night Lampshade based in Istanbul’s arkaoda and the electronic music festival Sonic Swim, which ran for two editions in pre-pandemic Turkey. He now runs the club night and event series Miks together with Aleksandir.
