Faisal Salah, with his unique, powerful voice and thought provoking lryics narrates his journey to all. He has been known to leave crowds in awe as he tells stories of his past and emotional choices through his pieces. He has shared the stage with many names such as, Mecca2Medina, Poetic Pilgrimage, Muslim Belal, Amir Khan and many others.

Safia Aidid was born in the Netherlands and raised in Canada. She received her BA from the University of Toronto, where she studied History, African Studies and Women & Gender Studies. She is currently a PhD candidate at Harvard University, working on a dissertation which examines Somali nationalism and its interaction with the Ethiopian state between 1943 and 1988.

Numbi – nurturing local and global conversations collaboratively creating platforms to celebrate diverse voices producing workshops, events and SCARF literary arts magazine and Numbispace- an ongoing research project investigating contemporary arts practice from pre-civil war Somalia to the present day Diaspora.
