Spinning Land presents a group happening that blends the boundaries between sound, performance and installation arts. Exploring the meanings of rhythms and tremors in our body, Spinning Land creates an immersive and interactive live experience. Offering a collaborative fairyland and a flow of performances, the event will disorient the public into new forms of listening.
Spinning Land is featuring the works of Aanthropocene, Naz Balkaya, /da, Fluctuosa, Giulio Dal Lago and Deniz Unal. The programme delivers four performances, consisting of mixed visual arts media, ending with a live AV set.

Deniz Ünal
Deniz Ünal works primarily with performance and moving image. She is interested in the intersections between performance and the therapeutic. She embraces discourses around visibility, autonomy, care and healing structures, by reflecting on how to situate the therapeutic in art beyond the individual and consider it in the context of the socio-political. Recent exhibitions and events include Resonance and Wonder (in collaboration with Adam Christensen), Overgaden Institute of Contemporary Art, Copenhagen (2021); Politike Odpora, Center for Contemporary Arts Celje, Celje (2019); Liquid Lunch, Mimosa House, London,(2019); Something Soft, Kunstraum, London (2019).

Fluctuosa & /da
/da is an Istanbul based new media artist. Her practice includes generative design, live audiovisual performances, realtime computer graphics, creative direction since 2019. Fluctuosa is an Istanbul-based electronic music producer and the co-founder of SITDOWNANDANCE Label. He is known for his well-established productions that support the electronic music culture in Istanbul, embracing new methods of making music in his practice, pursuing experimental forms of dance music. Aiming to have an organic connection with his listeners, he has been collaborating with /da, expanding the boundaries of electronic music culture with audio-visual performances.

Naz Balkaya & Giulio Dal Lago
Giulio Dal Lago is a sound artist based in London, who works beyond the limit of the sonic. They focus on site-specific projects that activate everyday spaces, situations, and actions through interventions on their sonic possibilities. Giulio co-directs SubPhonics collective and they are the founder of TIDES event. Naz Balkaya is an artist-curator based in London. Both of her artistic and curatorial projects promote collaboration, solidarity, and safe networking, representing the millennial conditions and supporting the emerging artists. Her work was part of exhibitions at Stanley Picker Gallery, South London Gallery, Tate Exchange, Liverpool Biennial and The Koppel Project.

Aanthropocene
Aanthropocene (1989, London, UK) is a musician and sculptor based in London. Their creative practice is focussed primarily on the interaction between humankind and both the built and natural world; the effect we have on our environments and in turn, the ways they affect us. Jesse creates sculptures and environments that interact with animals, plants and people. Creating homes or creating prisons, attempting to cause a reflection both within themselves and the viewer on how we interact with our world and with each other.
