Tears|OV

Tears | OV are a three piece experimental trio working across experimental composition and media archaeology. Their work explores the intersection between mass media and interpersonal personal belief systems to playfully expose the tyranny of cultural norms. Tears | OV are Deborah Wale, Katie Spafford and Lori E Allen. They are an electro-acoustic trio producing soundscape and sample and sequenced based works in long form. Their are published on The Tapeworm, Bloxham Tapes and Industrial Coast. Together and in other collaborative practices they have performed at Tate South Tanks, Iklectik, Whitechapel and Chisenhale Galleries. In 2021 their most recent album Pluto’s Return was named one of Bandcamp’s Best Experimental. Other publications include Tears of the Material Vulture on the Tapeworm, A Hopeless Place on Wormhole Records, Girls Invented Noise on Industrial Coast and upcoming releases on Trouble in Mind.

Rob Lye

Rob Lye is an artist and musician based in London. He is developing a new performance specifically for the Iklectik Ambisonic sound system. The work collages music and video to explore themes of materiality and the body. He recently received an ACE research grant (2019) to travel to Bolivia to visit the Salar de Uyuni and the Bolivian Amazon rainforest . Recent releases include ‘Modern Living’ (2021) Takuroku, ‘UN’ Stairwell Editions (2021) He has exhibited and performed internationally in venues such as TATE Britain, Cafe Oto, Whitechapel Gallery, APT Gallery, OUTPOST, ASC, FUSE, Caraboo etc.

Tom White

Tom White is a London-based artist focusing predominantly on sound-based practices such as live performance, installation, recordings, composition for dance and film. He is interested in the physicality and phenomena of sound; how it can be felt by the body and experienced in architectural space. Past projects include commissions and appearances for Radiophrenia, Glasgow (CCA); BRAUBLFF (KRAAK & De Player); Whitechapel Gallery, London & Colour out of Space Festival, Brighton. Recent collaborators include Surface Area Dance Theatre, Maya Dunietz, Ben Knight, Renato Grieco and Lia Mazzari.He has performed extensively across the UK and Europe, traveled to North America & Japan and had work published by labels such as Takuroku (Cafe OTO), Glistening Examples, Vitrine, Chocolate Monk, Calling Cards Publishing and South London Gallery. He won the British Composer Award in 2014 (Sonic Art) for Public Address, commissioned by South London Gallery. In 2016 he founded Apologies in Advance; a platform for artists presenting work in progress performances.
