Eight sets of emerging London-based sonic artists will present a immersive sonic journey through multiple temporalities, from the finest micro-sounds to the most expansive cosmic soundscapes, and reveal portals to macrobiotic, liminal, and even fictional spaces. Bold sonic experiments will take place to challenge your perception of time and space, and explore the hidden connections between duration, places, and memories.

Zhao Jiajing

Zhao Jiajing (b. China) is a composer, sound artist, and new media artist. Zhao Jiajing works across multiple disciplines, including spatial sound, new media, performance, and installation. Key themes of his work include time, consciousness, chaos, and surveillance. He approaches sound as spatial-temporal portals leading to many possible worlds. With extensive use of field recordings, sound collage, and granular synthesis techniques, he creates sonic experiences that trigger cross-sensory imaginations. Probabilities and uncertainties are the kernel of his practice. He employs chaotic algorithms and cultivates generative systems for his artistic creations to sprout into unforeseen variations autonomously.

Laura Selby

Laura Selby (b. 1991) is a London-based sound artist and violinist, with a background working in sound and music design for film, TV, immersive platform and theatre. Her research currently focuses on ways of sonic led contamination and the interconnection between the biological networks within and beyond us, that make up our way of being. Using listening led methods, Laura is interested in developing experiences that move audiences towards deeper relational understanding and care.

Bryan Yueshen Wu

Bryan Yueshen Wu is an art explorer and creator currently based in London. Having a background of industrial and product design, Bryan applies design thinking in his creation of art, alongside interdisciplinary approaches including sonic making, computing and performance. In his process of researching and experimenting with materials and digital technologies, Bryan explores the intersection between immersion and interactivity, interrogates ways that audiences experience new forms of reality and existence, and applies these investigations to create new multi-sensorial experience. Topics of interests involve self, perception, nature, algorithm, etc.

Lapis & Debster & PK

Chleo Li alias Lapis is an artist who considers her practice as a Travel Agency. This Travel Agency aims to transport the audience to familiar yet unknown places through sonic and images exploration. Perhaps opening a door or two… who knows?

Debster, Chun-Tien Hsiao, an interactive experience and media designer. Passionate about criticising, questioning, rediscovering and communicating existing systems, social issues and current events through experience and design. Involving both logical rationality and abstract sensitivity by using physical and digital interactive media and installation.

Ke Peng (PK) is a London-based multidisciplinary artist, exploring the intersection of visual, sound, and motion. Her work encompasses audiovisual installations, performances, and digital arts, bringing the invisible to life and pushing boundaries through the interplay of materiality, motion, vibration, and light.

Ilya Gurin-Babayeu

Ilya Gurin-Babayeu is a sound artist and electronic musician from Belarus. His work can be described as diving into the zone of elusive meanings. The fundament of his current practice is the study of perceptual possibilities and tacit dimensions through sonic experiences. The aesthetics of the Ilya’s latests works explores relationship between space and time via various perspectives of the time frames perception. His live set for the ‘Temporal-Space-Spatial-Time’ event is also a part of this research, but with an emphasis on immersion in imaginable spaces that happens during the improvisation.

Daunt are Elliot Buchanan and Martyn Riley. Elliot Buchanan aka el-bu is a sound artist and DJ who creates entanglements of spectral voices, delicate shimmering grains, oneiric states and squelchy ambience to produce sensations of untouchable longing and heartbreaking melancholy. Martyn Riley (Tokoro23 / ADSR) is a Sound Artist who moves through varied disciplines and mediums exploring the notion of historical sonic triggers utilizing selected writings, locational photography along with microtonal saturations of sound.

Ojasvani Dahiya & Kristina Kapilin

Ojasvani Dahiya is exploring creating interactive and immersive experiences that look at realities of the distant past and the far future which are grounded in the present. She is currently experimenting with new and emerging forms of technology to create visual experiences informed through sound and music.
