Marjolaine Charbin

Marjolaine Charbin is a pianist. She uses the keyboard, strings, a range of objects, contact microphones, hands and voice. She is interested in how these things interact with each other, and what meaning comes out of it. Recent collaborations include; Dominic Lash, Chris Cundy, Eddie Prevost, Ute Kanngiesser, Angharad Davies, John Butcher, Ken Ikeda, Edward Lucas, Douglas Benford, Grundik Kasiansky.
She has performed in venues and festivals around Europe such as Sound Disobedience Festival (Ljubljana), Exploratorium (Berlin), Cafe Oto (London), Hurta Cordel festival (Madrid, Barcelone), The Vortex (London), Huddersfield Contemporary Music festival, Music We’d Like to Hear series (London).

Three musicians who work with sound in varied contexts come together in a particularly instrumental way. A spirit of give and take is present and common ground agreed before a tangent interrupts. Strings and wind and wind and strings, wood and reeds and brass.

Sophie Sleigh-Johnson

Sophie Sleigh-Johnson is a Southend-on-Sea based writer, musician and artist. She has just completed her PhD at Goldsmiths College entitled Marsh Hermeneutics: Performing Zones of Disorientation. Her spoken word cassette tape album Nuncio Ref! has recently been released on Crow Versus Crow. For previous projects, see:

Adrian Northover

Adrian plays alto and soprano saxophone and is also involved in sound production/mixing.
He can currently be heard playing on the London club scene with a wide range of musicians, as well as doing solo saxophone performances. He has made recordings with B Shops for the Poor, The Remote Viewers, Sonicphonics (with Billy Bang), The London Improvisers Orchestra, Ensemble Trip-Tik, Anna Homler, John Edwards, The Custodians, and various duo CD’s with Adam Bohman, Tasos Stamou, Daniel Thompson and many others.
He has performed at many international festivals, including the Montreal Jazz Festival, Sound Symposium, Victoriaville, Leipzig Jazz Festival, Tallin Festival, Arkangel Jazz, Freedom Of The City, Bari Jazz and others.

Adam Bohman

London-based composer, performer and artist Adam Bohman (b.1959)has ploughed a singular path in music since the mid 70s. He studied with Phil Wachsmannat the City Lit in the early 80s. This led to the formation of Morphogenesis, an innovative live electroacoustic group.Adam is known internationally for his unorthodox array of music-making objectsHis compositions include purely instrumental ‘instructional scores’, text pieces and dialogue sketches. He has two groups with his brother, Jonathan. The Bohman Brothers duo and Secluded Bronte (see links below for current activity) – a trio with Richard Thomas. Alongside his musical activities, Adam produces artworks – mostly collage – and has had exhibitions at Café Oto in London (film link below) and in Europe.

Dominic Lash 

Dominic Lash is an improviser and composer. He has long-standing collaborations with John Butcher, Angharad Davies, Bruno Guastalla, and Alex Ward. Other musicians he has worked with includes Antoine Beuger, Tony Conrad, Angharad Davies, Jürg Frey, Matthew Grigg, Elizabeth Harnik, James Ilgenfritz, Charlotte Keeffe, Paul Lytton, Joe Morris, Evan Parker, Éliane Radigue, Mark Sanders, Roger Turner, Fay Victor, and Philipp Wachsmann.
