The four tracks on The Xavier De Maistre Survival Guide were recorded between December 2019 and January 2020, and inspired by the title and approach, but not necessarily the content, of De Maistre’s “Voyage Around My Room.” Built around owning isolation and relishing minutiae, De Maistre’s work has taken on a different significance in recent weeks.
