Water Tiger Balm aims and claims to temporarily relieve minor existential aches, pains, and strains. It does so by warming the heart, as an analgesic.

There are some years in one’s life that demand special attention. This is one of them: 2022 is the year of the water tiger, and I am a water tiger, this conjunction only happens once in a lifetime. Ingenuity, friendship, community, and wild swimming is what got me that far. This is what I wish to celebrate with my precious and talented friends, old and new. And what a better place to do so than in Old Paradise Yard!

Come wearing a mask or a recognisable mark of your chinese zodiac animal sign.

There will be the Kiosk in the garden, there will be music.

Programme:

Two people counting (Atisha Penjore, 2013)
Indian Odissi dance with Vanessa Cavron
Tom Mills (theremin), Bethan Chainey (percussion)
A la Fontaine, claire by Bouche Bèe (fixed media recording)
Mirei Ya & Sarah Woolfenden (trumpet, voice, movement, objects), N.O. Moore (drum machine)

An overdose of Water Tiger Balm is not expected, but encouraged.
What should I avoid while using Tiger Balm?
If Water Tiger Balm gets in your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse with laughter and music.
